BOTOX

Mention this online promotion to receive BOTOX® for
only $349!
Botox® is a simple and safe procedure. No sedation or local anesthetic is
required with botox and you can resume normal activities immediately.
Some patients experience a slight temporary bruising at the injection
site. This can be covered up with make-up.
Botox is performed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Douglas M.
Senderoff, MD, FACS, in his Manhattan, New York or Westchester, New York
office.
Dynamic wrinkles are caused by contractions of the delicate underlying
facial muscles every time you smile, laugh, or frown. The more emotions
you show, the deeper these wrinkles and lines are likely to be. Now,
thanks to a new use for an approved drug, Botox, dynamic lines can be
dramatically softened.
Botox blocks impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that
are related to expression lines. After botox treatment, the overlying skin
remains smooth and unwrinkled while the untreated facial muscles
contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression to be
unaffected.
Botox injections have been used safely and effectively for over ten
years to treat many ophthalmological and neurological disorders. Each
year thousands of patients receive botox treatments for a variety of
conditions and it is quickly becoming a popular treatment for reversing
the visible signs of aging.
Frequently Asked Questions About Botox
How is Botox given?
botox® is injected into the affected muscle(s). Board Certified Plastic
Surgeon, Douglas M. Sendeorff, MD, FACS will determine which muscles need to be treated.
Does the Botox® injection hurt?
Some people report minor, temporary discomfort from the injection.
botox is reconstituted with sterile, preservative-free, normal saline
for injection. The neutral pH of the injected solution, in combination
with the fine-gauge needle your doctor will use, can help to minimize
any injection-related pain. Most patients report that botox injections
do not hurt.
When will Botox start to work?
The effects of botox will become apparent within three days and will
continue to become more apparent over the next two weeks.
How long with the effects of Botox last?
Botox offers sustained relief. The effects of botox will normally last
for 3 - 4 months. Treatments can be continued as long as your condition
responds to botox. After this period the effects of botox of will start
to wear off, the injected muscles will become more active and creases
may return.
Usually, botox treatment is required approximately four times per year.
Because symptoms can change over time, the amount and duration of relief
you'll experience can vary. The plastic surgeon can determine how to achieve
the best possible results with botox.
How can I find out if Botox® is covered by my health insurance?
The botox Program Reimbursement Hotline has been helping patients and
physicians get answers to their botox reimbursement questions for
years. In addition, botox® has more than a decade of reimbursement
experience with insurance carriers and health care providers. It is this
experience that has resulted in botox coverage by most payers,
including Medicare and Medicaid; particularly for cervical dystonia.
Some insurance plans cover botox under the medical benefit and others
cover botox under the pharmacy benefit. To find out how botox is
covered under your insurance plan, call the botox ADVANTAGE Program
